Highly recommended.. Great family owned business. Spoke with Lisa and explained my needs, she was patient and understanding and went above and beyond to make sure I got the perfect chair for my dad. Her husband Danny then delivered and installed the chair the same day. Fantastic service that you don’t usually these days.

This rating is for 1st Step Mobility Cheam. I have been waiting since January 2026 for the colour edges for my sedeo pro power wheelchair A set arrived and Shaun came to fit them a short while ago but they were the wrong set. I also asked for an adaptation to be made for the controller, got the ok from motability informed 1st step mibility Cheam what they needed to do for the adaptation to go ahead which they should have been familiar with and never heard a word back from 1st Step mobility Cheam . My last email to them was on 19th April. So no colours for powerchair and no adaptation. Very disappointed as i previously wrote a good review for them. It seems as though when the 14 day grace period was over everything changed. I also intially asked for handle bars at the rear of the chair to be fitted and this never happened.

I took my 2 neighbours to this store today to look and test drive some mobility scooters. I would like to mention the patience and understanding that Steve showed to my neighbours , he was so helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. Unfortunately the lady behind the desk was rather rude and what she said could have been put in a better way. This unfortunately offended my neighbours and they now want to purchase their 2 pavement mobility scooters and 2 folding scooters from another company .

Edit - 26-1-26Being the best place to go for ANY mobility requirements however big or small I visited again today to test and purchase a folding Power Chair. I had already from a lot of research decided on the Pride Jazzy Carbon Carbon Ultra Lite as it needed to be easily transported in the boot of the car in addition to assist my very restricted walking.As always, friendly and warm welcoming staff located the demonstrator in the showroom, showed us fully how it worked and then let me loose for a test drive. It proved very quickly to be the right product for my needs. I was advised on similar products but, having seen the simplicity of this product my mind was set.Full 5* service as they got a new one from the storeroom, set it all up and loaded into the car boot whilst I sorted out the paperwork. Simple, quick and such a friendly service.Do not hesitate to use 1st Step. A wonderful service and, all competitive prices. I personally do not consider anyone other than 1st Step for my mobility needs.-----------I visited 1st Step today after having purchased a mobility scooter from here a couple of years ago.I had gone to Romford shopping centre with my wife and after setting up the Pride Go scooter in the car park I realised I had left the key at home.Thanks to 1st step supplying me with a replacement key this morning I was able to continue my shopping trip as planned.The service was wonderful when I purchased the scooter and the after service is just as good. Highly recommend if you need any mobility aids. The staff go above and beyond.

We purchased a stairlft for my Mum from the Welling store & it's been showing an error message which Welling dealt with before Xmas & put in new batteries, as that seemed the obvious cause. Sadly it came up a few times again last wk. As Welling branch were fully booked they kindly arranged for Keith from Romford to come out. He was so thorough and spent quite a bit of his time going through all the likely causes & ringing technical as it wasn't an error that usually keeps appearing. We were really impressed how he worked and he was also a very nice friendly guy. If the fix doesn't last he's identified the only other cause it could be so fingers x. Very happy customer😀
