I rarely leave reviews

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt this one was deserved. We had been receiving unusually high water bills for several months at our property in Kensington, W8, but couldn’t work out where the water was going. There were no obvious signs of a leak and nothing that pointed to a specific problem. A neighbour recommended 247 Rapid Response, so I gave them a call. They were straightforward from the start and explained the process clearly without trying to sell unnecessary work. Adam attended the property and carried out a series of tests to narrow down the cause of the issue. What impressed me was how thorough he was. Rather than jumping to conclusions, he systematically ruled out different possibilities until he identified the source of the leak. The problem turned out to be hidden in an area that I would never have suspected. Once identified, everything was explained in plain English and the repair was arranged without delay. Throughout the visit Baz was polite, professional and respectful of the property. He worked carefully, cleaned up after himself and made sure I understood exactly what had been found. After months of uncertainty, it was a relief to finally get the issue resolved properly. I honestly can’t thank 247 Rapid Response enough. I live in Chiswick, W4, and started noticing a damp smell downstairs that seemed to be getting worse every week. I was worried it could turn into a much bigger problem, especially as I couldn’t see any obvious signs of where the water was coming from. From my first call with the office, everyone was lovely and reassuring. They booked me in quickly and kept me updated on when the engineer would arrive. Adam attended my property and immediately put me at ease. As someone who doesn’t know much about plumbing or leak detection, I really appreciated how clearly he explained everything. He was patient, professional and never made me feel silly for asking questions. The leak was hidden and not easy to find, but Adam worked methodically and managed to locate it without causing unnecessary disruption to my home. After searching Google and speaking to several leak detection companies, I decided to contact 247 Rapid Response as they came across as the most knowledgeable and experienced from the very first phone call. I had a hidden water leak at my property in Chelsea, SW10, and after being let down by another leak detection company who spent an entire day on site without finding the source, I was understandably frustrated. 247 Rapid Response attended the very next morning and successfully located the leak within three hours. What impressed me most was that they didn’t just carry out the leak detection. They repaired the leak the same day and provided a detailed insurance report, which enabled me to make a successful claim through my insurer and recover all of my costs apart from the policy excess. Within hours of calling for an emergency plumber they arrived, the company gave me an hourly rate to which I was concerned to how long my job would take however my boiler was repaired and hot water back in action at my flat within 10mins! I didn't know if it was gas or water issue, but the engineer diagnosed and resolved everything within! Massive props to the team, and Mr 247 in particular!

Great team effort

Scammers (be cautious)

They attended to find the source of a leak, spent approximately four hours examining the kitchen appliances, shower/toilet room as well as pipes beneath the kitchen sink. During their inspection, they discovered no leaks and was about to leave, as a last ditched effort decided to disassemble and loosely reassemble my kitchen sink to make it appear as though that was the cause of the leak and that a second visit would be needed only to replace and rebuild the entire plumbing system there at a cost of thousands. The following day prior to their scheduled appointment, I made the decision to commission a second independent plumbing expert for their evaluation of the original source of the leak as well as the claim by their technician to redo my entire sink and it’s plumbing. This engineer verified that the plumbing beneath the sink had been tampered with to appear loose and was in actuality functioning fine, that the leak's original source was visibly apparent coming from the apartment above, citing that any competent or honest plumber could have identified within a matter of minutes and without any “dye tests”. They have still not provided me a professional report after weeks of chasing. In summary, they received payment from me at an hourly rate which, in my and that of the independent experts, was not warranted and self created. In addition to all of this, they had another appointment scheduled to completely substitute the entire pipes underneath the washbasin at what I’m told would be substantial and a needless expense to me. They even demanded that I complete a Google review and pay for the unplanned appointment before agreeing to send me my report or re-attend. This kind of behaviour is not only unethical, but in my opinion is also done with the intention of draining mine and possibly other customer of funds for their own personal financial gain (judging by existing Google reviews). I strongly advise those fallen victim to get a second professional opinion and to file a chargeback claim with your bank to let them decide who’s right/wrong. They begged me to not leave them a google review but i shall because I will not let vulnerable customers fall victim to their illicit practices, the same as well will be filed with trading standards.
