Great customer service, but hugely disappointing countertop qualityI have mixed feelings about our experience with Toucan Stone Florence Quartz. Their customer service has been excellent throughout. They are very responsive, helpful and easy to deal with, and the installation itself was great. Unfortunately, the quality and performance of the countertop has been a huge disappointment.I specifically chose quartz because I wanted a low-maintenance, non-porous surface that would be practical for everyday kitchen use. We finally invested in quartz as part of our brand-new kitchen renovation, but this has turned out to be the highest-maintenance countertop I have ever had.Almost every small spill seems to leave a mark if it isn't wiped up immediately. Tea, food, splashes from the hob, water or anything that spills around the sink can leave stains very quickly. In a kitchen that is actually being used, it simply isn't realistic to stop what you're doing and immediately wipe up every tiny splash or spill. The frustrating thing is that you also can't properly scrub or scour the marks away without worrying about damaging the surface. I understand that quartz itself is non-porous, so I'm struggling to understand why this surface is behaving this way. I suspect it may have something to do with whatever surface treatment, sealant or protective coating has been applied, but I don't know what the solution is.We've gone to the expense of installing what we expected to be a durable, easy-care worktop, and instead we're constantly having to worry about staining and cleaning. That's particularly frustrating in a brand-new kitchen. So, while I genuinely cannot fault Toucan Stone's customer service or installation team, I unfortunately cannot recommend the Florence Quartz based on our experience. If low maintenance and stain resistance are important reasons for choosing quartz, I would strongly suggest researching this particular surface very carefully before spending the money.Pictures attached of drink and cooking spills left for a couple hours post dinner party, after Toucan stone's recommended cleaning spray was used to clean them. Not a low maintenanxe durable counter top as expected from quartz:-(

Excellent service. I managed to find a latte quartz offcut for my kitchen. Kane was very helpful. I was able to template collect and fit myself, so was a very reasonable price. Very happy with the result.

Very professional company, I chose to have the template and fitting service, this gave a better fit and appearance than I had expected, the fitting was very quick and to a very high standard. Couldn't be happier with the end result!

An excellent service from beginning to end. Kane spent time and effort in the showroom helping me choose the right colour and material — nothing was too much trouble. Having worked with marble, granite, and natural stone for many years myself, I truly appreciate and recognise high-quality service and installation when I see it. The standard delivered was exceptional. I can highly recommend Toucanstone.
